Honoring our Veterans: Veterans Day 2025

At Aussie Real Estate, we are proud to celebrate and honor one of the pillars of our team— Eloina. She is not only a dedicated mother and one of the top Client Care Specialists in Tulsa, but also a United States Army Veteran. We want to honor and recognize her strength, leadership, and unwavering commitment! In honor of Veterans Day, we are grateful to share her story and reflections in her very own words!

Eloina’s Service Story:

"I joined the U.S. Army straight out of high school and served as a Chemical Operations Specialist. I’m especially proud to be the first female in my family to serve. As a first-generation Mexican American, my parents were incredibly proud of this accomplishment, and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without their unwavering support. 

One of the most meaningful periods of my service was during any type of training whether it be from BCT to pre-deployment training. Those times were challenging, but they taught me a great deal about leadership, teamwork, and responsibility. I was also privileged to serve with the 82nd Airborne Division, and the relationships I built with my fellow soldiers continue to be some of the most meaningful of my life.

Being a veteran means embodying strength, discipline, and integrity — not just in uniform, but in everyday life. One of the biggest challenges I faced was being one of the few females in my company. While we see more women serving in the military today, in the early 2000s it was still predominantly male-dominated.

 I learned how to overcome physical challenges, persevere, and assert myself in an environment that required resilience and determination. The Army instilled values that still guide me: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage. Those lessons continue to shape my successes both personally and professionally."

Values & Legacy

"Serving taught me that leadership is about serving others and leading by example. My experiences, from jump school to being overseas, reinforced that growth comes from perseverance, accountability, and supporting your team. I still carry these principles into everything I do, and I hope my service inspires others to see that the lessons from military life extend far beyond the uniform."

How we can honor our Veterans:

"As a disabled veteran, I strongly encourage everyone to volunteer at your local VA hospital. You can learn so much from veterans — we are extremely knowledgeable and have an unwavering capacity for sympathy and empathy for others. Our service doesn’t end when our military career ends; it continues when we support our community and are there for others. 

Honoring veterans isn’t just about one day on the calendar— it’s about recognizing the sacrifices made by service members and their families every day and taking the time to listen, learn, and serve in whatever ways we can."

Veterans Day is observed each year on November 11th, it is a time to reflect on the bravery, sacrifice, and commitment of millions of service members, past and present. Unlike Memorial Day, which honors those who lost their lives in service, Veterans Day acknowledges the contributions of all veterans, thanking them for their courage, dedication, and continued impact on our communities.
